Ken Grodner

Ken joined The Grodner Group in 2017 to expand the firm’s service offerings and industry scope to include large scale and international strategic project management. With over three decades’ experience, Ken helps clients build successful and sustainable capacity while meeting their organizational performance goals and objectives.


As an executive with KPMG, BearingPoint and PwC, he was responsible for selling and delivering international IT implementations and financial infrastructure projects for both external and internal clients.


Earlier in his career, Ken served as the chief financial officer for several retailers in the home furnishings industry.


During his off time, Ken serves as a mentor and business coach for numerous millennials.  He is a passionate college football fan and veracious reader of mysteries, historical novels and business books.


He has also served on numerous boards and committees from The University of Alabama, ZBT Fraternity, Beth Shalom Nursing Home, to name a few.


Vikki and Ken enjoy family time with son Alex, daughter-in-law Colette, grandson Bryant, and daughter Stirling. They also enjoy traveling together and exploring off-the-beaten-path locations.


Both generously give their time and resources to better the community.

Quest for Excellence Initiative – University of Alabama Fraternity and Sorority Community

There are great things happening in the University of Alabama fraternity and sorority community—academic achievements, service to the community, award-winning chapters, campus leaders, to name a few. The University of Alabama strives for excellence in all endeavors, and the fraternity and sorority community is no different. To that end, UA has created the Quest for Excellence Initiative to build upon the many strengths and positive, rich traditions of the UA fraternity and sorority community to create a roadmap for excellence and has asked Ken Grodner to lead this initiative.

Program Leader for IT Automation for this Fortune 100 Company

Given Ken’s large complex program management experience, he was asked to serve as a Program leader for a multi-year, multi-million dollar automation initiative for the $37 Billion professional serives organization.  Given his financial background, he develops and communicates the program’s value articulation message.

Sales and Marketing Executive for the Mosaic Corporation

The Mosaic Corporation has combined scanning technologies with document management to significantly streamline back-office operations including AP, AR and HR processes.  With corporate offices located in Atlanta, Mosaic has asked Ken Grodner to lead sales and marketing efforts for companies based in the state of Alabama.

Past Engagements

  • For PwC, developed and executed a strategy to align IT delivery to PwC staff across the Americas, reducing costs for higher cost countries and enhancing capabilities for lower cost countries. This included establishing a comprehensive governance structure using leading market research.  This approach is now being adopted by PwC world-wide.
  • For PwC, developed a vision and roadmap for IT security services across the Americas that reduced the vulnerability of cyberattacks to the firm.
  • For PwC, drove the deployment and adoption for the Google suite of tools to countries across the firm including Canada, Brazil, Norway, India, and others.
  • For a medical device manufacturer, served as the Global Account Leader and Engagement Director for this three year $60 Million ERP deployment. The client viewed the team as the “cornerstone for success” though their Value-Added Sourcing program.
  • Served as the Program Director for a Global Finance and Data Warehouse project for the world’s most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products. The program enabled improved fact-based decision-making and efficient management of financial transactions and information and served as the foundation to leverage for future projects.  The program involved coordinating thousands of activities of over 90 members across multiple organizations.
  • Led a global integration effort for the acquisitions of a leading supplier of diagnostic imaging systems and related services worldwide, represented in more than 100 countries. Developed and coordinated the worldwide efforts of Integration Offices located in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.
  • Developed an approach for establishing a Risk Management and Quality Assurance function at this leading non-profit designed to gain assurances around areas of legal, financial (including IRS), operational and ethical risk.
  • Created comprehensive IT Strategies for an emerging business unit of this global pharma. This strategy incorporated both functional and technical requirements to support Research & Development, Sales & Marketing and Finance and HR.
  • As CFO, enabled a private mid-sized organization to gain access to a $1 Billion Commercial Paper Fund resulting in a significant annual cost savings. As CFO, created an internal audit function to improve accuracy and reliability of financial information and safeguard assets from loss
  • As Treasurer for the Board of Directors of a 120-bed nursing home, championed a Medicaid appeal, which resulted in a recovery of $1M for the Home. Chaired the facilities’ first long-range planning committee, which resulted in the creation of a skilled bed wing
